Singapore Design Fest + WOHAGA
Upcoming WOHA events during the Singapore Design Festival (28 Nov -8 Dec)
WOHA Reflects
WOHA Reflects is an exhibition exploring and sharing how stimuli external to architecture are reflected in WOHA’s diverse design directions. By making explicit the cross-fertilization of external personal interests with professional creative directions, the exhibit continues the exploration of WOHA’s past works while offering an indication of WOHA’s future creative directions. The exhibition will display design research in progress, mockups and samples, and the stories behind the designs.
Venue: WOHAGA
Date: 28 November - 8 Dec

“LIEBE DEINE STADT- SAYANG SINGAPORE”
“Liebe Deine Stadt” is Cologne’s answer to Singapore’s en-bloc frenzy. The German initiative awards oversized medal ribbons and XXL-letter heads to buildings of the recent history. Several buildings of outstanding architectural quality have been commended in this way in the last two years. Most of these buildings were previously in the blind spot of both professionals and public, many of them designated for demolition and redevelopment before “Liebe Deine Stadt” celebrated their existence so visibly. What has started as an artist’s installation has now become a successful movement with prominent supporters. The talk “Liebe Deine Stadt – Sayang Singapore” in WOHAGA introduces the German initiative.
Patrick Bingham-Hall’s photo exhibition of the same name, also showing in WOHAGA explores the Singaporean context and counterparts.
Venue: WOHA Rooftop
Date: 29 November, 7pm

RANDOM and UNFORESEEN EVENTS
RANDOM and UNFORESEEN EVENTS EXHIBIT: NOW SHOWING
WOHAGA is proud to unveil its first gallery exhibit, via this all-handy internet blog. Conveniently displayed are a collection of WOHA's past in-house events posters. As a architecture studio with a design philosophy that states, "WOHA believes good design is produced from this careful study and research, combined with technical knowledge and artistic judgement. Random and unforeseen events are examined for the possibility of adding richness and new possibilities to the design". The events in this exhibit are particularly ones that involve celebration, social gathering, a well-deserved drink(s), and sometimes even a healthy lifestyle component.
Please take some time to enjoy this opportunity to see a different side of WOHA.

W O H A G A
This August, WOHA opens its doors to Singapore’s newest creative space for exhibition and experimentation, a freeform gallery known as WOHAGA. The first of its kind in Singapore, WOHAGA emerges from WOHA’s recent move to 29 HongKong Street, allowing the international award-winning design studio to further explore, surprise, and delight the local arts and architecture community with its ongoing schedule of events.
Future WOHAGA events will include art exhibitions, public talks, workshops, and social events, with most being open to the public. This November, in conjunction with the Singapore Design Festival, WOHAGA will host two major events including an exhibit on WOHA’s most recent works entitled, WOHA Reflects and the launch of Love Your City, a campaign created to shed light on a city’s soon-to-be-forgotten architectural history. WOHAGA encourages the unlimited possibilities of creativity and is open to housing alternative and experimental events.
